Christmas Day 2011

Christmas Day for us started at about 2:00am when Morgan woke up complaining of a stomach ache, and then proceeded to vomit all over the place. About a half an hour later Wyatt vomited all over the place as well. And then basically in unison they vomited they rest of the morning. So, we got about 2 hours of sleep and when we day light broke we decided to go down stairs and open gifts. Despite being very ill from a virus they caught....the boys were still very very excited about the presents Santa brought for them!

Poor little guy....he looks so pale and sick.

Notice the trash can in the background of this picture? Yeah...let me tell you, it was not for collecting wrapping paper!!

Well, by the afternoon both boys started to feel much better...so we went sledding!!

Cookies and Letters to Santa!

When we got home from church on Christmas Eve, the boys made cookies to set out for Santa! They also wrote him a letter telling him what they wanted for Christmas!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at my parent's house and had a wonderful time! We had a great ham dinner, opened presents and then went to a Christmas Eve Church Service where our family was asked to come up to the altar and light the Christ candle.

The boys enjoyed opening their stockings and presents.

This was Morgan's favorite gift of the evening....his Scooter!!

So....of course we had to take it outside to try it out!

Day Care Christmas Party!

The boys' Day Care had a Christmas party on Friday, December 23rd. Santa Claus made a visit and all the kids were so excited to see him.

He brought each kid a present and let them sit on his lap and visit for a while.

Wyatt was still very apprehensive of Santa Claus...so he just enjoyed the food instead!

Santa Visit

Morgan was very excited about Santa this year. He wanted to get his picture taken with him and couldn't wait to tell him that he wanted a Batman Mobile!
Wyatt on the other hand, did not want anything to do with Santa. When we were in the car I would ask him if he wanted to see Santa Claus and he would say "Yeah!"...and then when he took one look at him he started to scream his head off. So, no pictures of Wyatt with Santa this year....maybe we will have better luck next year.

Tree Decorating

This post is kinda of late, but at the beginning of December we decorated our Christmas Tree. Colby always gets a real tree every year and I love how it fills our house with the smell of fresh pine. Here are the boys before they started decorating.

And they're off.....!! After Colby and I put up the lights the boys got busy helping me put up the ornaments. We had Christmas music playing, hot chocolate, marshmallows and Morgan's Santa hat helped put us all in a Christmas mood!

Wyatt did a pretty good job of helping. But of course shortly after we would put something up...he was right there to take it back down! Eventually we did get all the ornaments on the tree.

And here are the boys after we were finished. The lights on the tree are on, but the flash from the camera drowns them out....but I would say they did a fabulous job.

The finishing touch to the tree was the big train the Colby sets up every year. It goes around the base of the tree and plays Christmas music. The boys like to help Colby set it up.

Then they turn it on and watch it go round and round!
