Day Care Christmas Party

Berta, our Day Care lady, always hosts a Christmas Party for the kids. Each year it is so much fun. The kids put on Reindeer antlers, eat yummy treats and sing Christmas songs while Berta's good friend Rod plays the guitar.

This was Wyatt's first Christmas party and he enjoyed the festivities very much.

Room full of excited kids and parents!

Wyatt enjoyed all the tissue paper flying around from all the gifts!

Each year the kids get a ton of gifts from everyone. Morgan can't wait to open them to see what exciting things he will get.

Here he is looking over a coloring book he got. He is very Thankful for Berta and all his wonderful friends at the Day Care.

Grand Re-Opening of the Loveland Recreation Center

The Recreation Center in Loveland has been around for many many years. This year they decided to give it a face lift and do some upgrades. On Saturday, December 18th they held a Grand Re-Opening and had lots of activities for children. So we took the boys. One of the activities was a demonstration by an Athletic Class for kids that teaches them how to be good athletes and have sportsmanship. Here they are learning how to stretch. This picture is of the 5 seconds that Morgan actually paid attention to the stretches.....but after about 5 seconds he was running around the gym like a crazy man!

They had an obsticle course where kids could run through object on the floor.

And jump through hoops!

This game is always fun, the parachute game! Kids throw a parachute up and down and then throw it up really high and run underneath it.

Morgan liked when they would shake the parachute really fast!

There was face painting for the kids and Morgan wanted to get his face painted like....you guessed it....SPIDERMAN!!

Our Family Christmas Tree

Morgan helped us decorate the tree this year. Mommy put up the lights (with Daddy's help on the tall parts) and then Morgan helped hang the ornaments.

He did a very good job....and then of course little brother Wyatt would come and take down all the low hanging ones that Morgan put up.

The finished product!

Manes Nursery Tree Lot

With Colby's business he was able to do a Christmas Tree Lot this year at his shop. It turned out really well, and the best part was that $5 of each tree sold went to benefit the Kempe Foundation, which is a local foundation for abused and neglected children.

Morgan liked to come and help Colby every once in a while.

He picked out a great Christmas tree for the house!

Morgan turns 3!

Morgan turned 3 years old on Saturday, November 13th! We had a fun birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa Pointer's house. Lots of family and friends showed up to help Morgan celebrate.
Morgan absolutley loves Spiderman....so of course he wanted a Spiderman Birthday Party. We had all sorts of fun Spiderman decorations.

Here is his Spiderman cake. It has Spiderman on the top and he spins around the building, then there was Venom and the Green Goblin on the bottom.
The kids enjoyed the Spiderman masks they got in their goodie bags. Here is Morgan showing off his!

Wyatt and the other little tykes were too small for the masks, but they enjoyed playing with Wyatt's baby toys just the same!

Morgan enjoyed opening his gifts. He got a ton of neat toys from Spiderman gear, to trucks, to coloring books, to video games, to tractors, etc. Morgan's other favorite movie is Avatar, so his dad and I got him an Avatar Helicoptor and accessories.

Here is cousin Devyn trying to get a peak at whats in the bag!

What a fun day! Morgan had a blast and now walks around telling people that he is not 2 anymore, he is 3!!

Fall Fun

Well, by now in Loveland, Colorado we have usually had our first snow of the season. But we have been fortunate this year to have a long and warm fall. Today was 76 degrees and we were definitely going to take advantage of it! We decided to go have a picnic at a local park. We ate our lunch and then Morgan couldn't wait to go play on all the toys. Morgan would take one bite of his sandwich and then say "can I go play now?". We would tell him he needed to take a few more bites, so he would take another bite and then say "now can I go?". This went on for quite a while until he had finally finished most of his sandwich. His favorite activity is the slide, here he is hurling himself down the steepest one they had!

And here is Morgan riding Mr. Turtle. I think it is actually a dinosaur, but Morgan kept calling it a turtle.

Wyatt slept for a bit when we first got to the park, but then he woke up, ate his lunch and then had a blast playing in the fall leaves! I think he is looking forward to the day when big brother can take him down the slide too!

More leaves! He liked the way they felt. He kept picking them up and squishing them between his fingers. Then of course, he would try to stuff them in his mouth....but I was too quick and would stop him before he had a chance to have the leaves for his dessert.

After the park we met up with Papa John at Colby's shop and he gave Morgan a tractor ride! Morgan loves tractor rides. It was a perfect way to end the fun fall day. I am hoping we have a few more days like this, but I heard it may snow next week....so I may have to post some fun "snow day" pictures next!

Halloween

Halloween was great fun this year! Morgan enjoyed trick or treating so much. First we went to Papa John and Grandma Cathy's house so they could show off their costumes. Then we went to a few houses in their neighborhood. Morgan liked ringing the doorbells and saying "trick or treat"! When we were done with one house, he would run as fast as he could to another one and say "lets do another one!". After that, we went to the Outlet Mall where each store hands out candy to the little boys and girls. We met Grandma Pointer there and she took the kids around to all the stores. Morgan even got to take his picture with the Toys R Us Giraffe. Then we went home, had some of our hard earned candy and went to bed!

Day Care Halloween Party

Every year Berta our wonderful babysitter has a Halloween party for the kiddos. They all get to dress up in their costumes and enjoy special treats. Spiderman enjoyed his yummy Halloween cupcake at the party!

Here are the boys with Daddy. Morgan is Spiderman of course and Wyatt is a Penguin with a top hat!

Spiderman and Mr. Penguin again! I think Wyatt is starting to get a little sick of his costume...it is a bit warm, but every year in Colorado it always snows on Halloween, but this year the weather was a wonderful 65 degrees!

Harvest Farms

Today we went to Harvest Farms in Wellington. They have a bunch of fun stuff for kids to do. There was a really fun corn maze! We almost got lost inside it but Daddy helped us figure out how to get out. After we finished the maze they gave us salt water taffy!

Morgan really enjoyed the big haystacks that you could climb on and run around in.

There was a park with three slides, monkey bars, swings and a climbing wall. Morgan really enjoyed the slides and wanted to go down them many many times.

They had a petting zoo where Morgan got to pet goats and sheep. He even got to feed them.

This goat really liked the wonderful massage Morgan gave him!

Bunny Town was fun, there were lots of bunnies that had little houses and buildings to hop into. Morgan got to pet a bunny named Leftie!
Although little brother Wyatt was too small to do any of the activities, he came along for the ride and still had a blast. Here he is smiling away!

And this is the ride home from Harvest Farms! What a day!
