JBS Beach Party

Last weekend my work threw the department and their families a Beach Party at Boyd Lake. It was lots of fun! They had free food, beer, face painting for the kids and lots of fun stuff to do at the beach. Morgan and Wyatt really enjoyed playing in the sand. Morgan enjoyed the water too, he went out into the lake really far with Colby and was splashing around. Wyatt only liked to get his feet wet, but I am sure next year he will take after his big brother and go swimming!

Larimer County Fair

During the first week of August we went to the Larimer County Fair. We always enjoy this fair and each summer look forward to going.

We stopped by the petting zoo first so the kids could touch and feed the animals.

I don't think Wyatt quite gets the concept of "petting" zoo! I am sure the animals all breathed a sigh of relief once he was out of there!

Next we had to go visit the train exhibit. Morgan loves trains and was very excited that Thomas the Train was in this exhibit.

Last year Morgan did not care for the rides at ALL! He would say he wanted to ride them, but once he was on it he would scream his head off. But this year to our surprise he was so excited to ride them and enjoyed every one! He couldn't wait to go again!

Morgan did not like this ride though. The girl he is with kept spinning the cup so fast and he was not happy about it. He used all his strength to try and stop that cup from spinning!

At the end of the night they do a firework display which the boys love of course.

Here is my crew enjoying a funnel cake while watching the fireworks.

Iowa Trip

I am late on this post too, but back in June we went to Iowa to visit some of Colby's family. It was a lot of fun and the boys had a blast with their cousins Quentin and Maci. Below is probably the only time all four of them sat still the whole trip!

Of course it wouldn't be a complete Iowa trip if we didn't get to ride on Great Grandpa's tractors!

Maci and Quentin live on a farm, so there is lots of room to run around! On the hot Iowa days the kids would run around in the sprinklers and shoot water guns.

There was also room for a few baseball games!

And blowing bubbles!

We also visited the Sports Plex in the little town of Shenandoah. Morgan liked the rope swing the best.

Wyatt checked out the slide!

They also had a blast in the ball pit. I am surprised I could find them in that thing!

Water Park

I am a little late on this post, but back in June on a hot summer day we visited the Loveland Water Park. The kids have a blast! But, I would say the water temperature is equivalent to that of a glacier in Antarctica....it is freezing!! But the kids absolutely love it and won't get out of it, we have to drag them away from that place blue lips and all.

NICU Reunion!

Today was the NICU Reunion at the Denver Zoo. Every other year the NICU Department hosts a reunion where they invite all the families that had preemies in the St. Lukes Presbeterian Hospital NICU. The nurses and doctors who took care of the preemies attend and get to see how much the kids have grown. We saw Grace, who was another little girl preemie in Wyatt's room. It is so amazing to see how far these little ones have come from starting out so small. Here are two of Wyatt's nurses, Emily and Stephanie.

Here is Marcie, another one of Wyatt's fabulous nurses!

Of course, since it was at the Zoo, Morgan had a blast. He is ready for his Safari adventure! The weather was a little gloomy today, but that was good because most of the animals were out on display. Below are some of the neat animals Morgan got to see.

Mother's Day Weekend!

I had a fabulous Mother's Day Weekend! It started off on Friday when my wonderful husband brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers to my work. It was such a nice surprise. He also delivered a bouquet to his Mother-in-law (my mom) at her work! What a wonderful guy!

On Saturday my mom came over and we took the boys and went shopping. Then on Sunday Colby, the boys and I went up to Estes Park. It was a gorgeous day out so we walked around the shops and had lunch. Here are my two wonderful boys posing for a picture with their mama!

When we got home from Estes Park we had to get ready for Colby's softball game. We went and watched his game at 8:00pm. His team won by a ton of runs! Morgan was more interested in rolling down the big hills of grass than watching the game.....but he did help his dad warm up before the game by throwing the ball back and forth to him.
